1.What is taxonomy/ systematisc
The word taxonomy derived from two greek words taxis =arrangement and nomous =law or rule literal meaning of the taxonomy is lawful arrangement or arrangements by rule of things.The term taxonomy was first coined and used by the famouse French botanist .A.P de candolle (1813) in this book Theorie elementair dela Botanist.
Plantaxomy is the science that finds identifies describes classifies and names plants.It is one of the main branches od taxonomy.

2.Basic of systematic Study
(i)Charracterization :-
The organism to be studied is described for all its morphological and other characteristics.
(ii)Identification:-
Based on the studied characteristics the identification of organism is carried out to know whether it is similar to any of the known group or taxa.
(iii)Classification:-
The organism is now classified on the basis of its resemblance to different taxa.It is possible that the organism may not resemble any known taxa or group. A new group or taxan is raised to accommodate it.
(iv)Nomenclature :-
After placing the organism in various taxa ,its correct name is determined .If the organism is new systematic ,it is given a new based on rulles and conventions of nomenclature.
